It has been a long and memorable season for Arne Slot in his first season as manager of Liverpool FC.

After being written off by many, The Reds pulled off the extraordinary, losing just two games on their way to their 20th Premier League title.

There have been many players who have helped them sprint over the line throughout the season but here are five that have been the biggest influence on the team during the entire season.

Mo Salah

It is pretty hard to not include Mohammed Salah when concerning Liverpool’s most influential players. The Egyptian has provided 45 goal contributions this season, scoring 28 goals and assisting 18.

Salah has broken countless records this season, including the most goal contributions set in a 38-game season previously held by Erling Haaland.

Slot will have been extremely relieved when Liverpool’s key man put pen to paper to his contract that will keep him at the club for two more years.

Virgil van Dijk

The Dutchman is the other Liverpool player to sign a two year extension, and with him still performing at the highest level, fans of the club won’t have to worry about replacing their captain just yet.

According to Opta, Liverpool’s number four has won 71.2% of his aerial duals during his second title winning season. He has been a colossus at the back for the champions.

Ryan Gravenberch

Probably the most surprising addition to the list due to the low expectations for the midfielder at the start of the season.

The Dutchman has prevailed under Slot and has been a key part in the success this season.

He has completed 89.3% of his open play passes this season and has been a big influence conducting his side’s midfield.

Alexis Mac Allister

The Argentine has been a revelation this season in midfield for the champions.

He has provided four assists this season and according to Opta, has a pass succession rate in the final third of 83.6%.

A screamer against Tottenham Hotspur to help secure a 20th league title, showcased what he brings to the team.

Luis Diaz

Liverpool’s exciting winger has set the Premier League alight during their triumphant campaign.

Despite a knock to his form in the middle of the season, there is no doubt the Columbian brings great influence to his team and the stats prove it.

He is their second top goal scorer this season on 12 goals, only Mo Salah (28) has more.
